What candidates want from a recruiter

Good candidates have choices. How a respectful process wins them, and what it says about your employer brand.
The strongest managers are rarely job-hunting. When a recruiter approaches them, they judge the hiring company by how they're treated from the first call.
Honesty about the role. Candidates want the real picture: why the role is open, what the team is like, what the package looks like. Surprises at offer stage lose good people.
Respect for their time. Clear steps, agreed dates, and no interview rounds added at the last minute.
Preparation. Knowing who they'll meet and what each interview will cover lets candidates show their best.
Feedback, whatever the outcome. The candidate you don't hire today may be your best hire in two years, or a customer. Silence after an interview is remembered.
Discretion. Many managers are employed and can't risk word getting out. A CV should never be sent anywhere without their agreement.
At NexHire, every candidate hears back. It's the simplest way to protect your employer brand, and it's the right way to treat people.
